General Terms

By using CaliForma, you agree to these terms of service. CaliForma provides exercise form analysis tools for educational purposes only. Our app is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Important: Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise program. You train at your own risk.

Client Phone App (Free)

The CaliForma phone app, on iPhone and Android, is free for clients: • Unlimited on-device analysis — form scoring, rep counting, and fault detection run locally on your phone. We do not meter how much you train. • No account required — start training straight away. An account is only needed to connect with a coach. • Local history unlimited — training sessions saved on your device never expire. Cloud features (sharing videos with a coach, syncing progress across devices) require a connection to a subscribed coach. Your coach's plan covers the cloud storage; clients never pay for cloud features at launch.

Coach Subscriptions

CaliForma Coach is a macOS app for remote coaching, sold on three tiers: • Free — 3 clients, 3 training plans, 30-day video retention. For trialling the platform. • Pro — 15 clients, unlimited training plans, 90-day video retention, your logo on client reports. • Studio — three coaches on one plan with 30 clients each, unlimited training plans, 1-year video retention, your logo on client reports. On a Studio team, each coach keeps their own clients; the team shares the subscription, not the roster. A coach who leaves or is removed keeps their clients and returns to their own tier. Pro and Studio are auto-renewing subscriptions bought inside the app through the App Store, monthly or yearly, at the price shown there for your country. Apple takes the payment and handles renewal, cancellation and refunds; manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Coach Accounts

Coaches using CaliForma are independent professionals. CaliForma provides tools for coaches to analyze client videos, create training plans, and track progress. Important disclaimers: • Coaches are solely responsible for their own advice and recommendations. • CaliForma does not provide coaching certification or verify coach qualifications. • CaliForma is a platform and tool provider, not a coaching service. • For the personal data of their clients, a coach is the controller and CaliForma processes it on the coach's behalf. By using CaliForma Coach, coaches accept these processing terms: CaliForma processes client data only to provide the service and on the coach's documented instructions given through the app; keeps it confidential and secure; uses only the processors listed in the Privacy Policy; helps the coach answer clients' data-protection requests; deletes it at the end of the service as the Privacy Policy describes; and notifies the coach without undue delay of a personal-data breach that concerns their clients. • A coach sees a client's measurements, progress photos, health activity and health information only while that client shares them with that coach in the app. • Disputes between coaches and clients are between those parties.

Promo Codes

Promotional codes and offers: • Promo codes are non-transferable and may only be used by the intended recipient. • Promo codes may expire and are subject to the terms specified at the time of distribution. • CaliForma reserves the right to revoke promo codes that are abused or distributed without authorization. • Promo codes cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.

User Content & Model Improvement

Regarding content and model improvement: • User corrections: When you submit form corrections or feedback, this data may be used to improve our pose-detection and form-scoring models. All such data is anonymized. • No video storage by default: Videos stay on your phone. No video is uploaded unless you explicitly share a clip with your coach or send feedback. Progress photos and body measurements you log are backed up to your own account in our EU storage when you are signed in, and shown to a coach only if you turn sharing on for that coach, measurements and photos separately; a new coach sees none of them until you do. • Shared content: Videos or data you explicitly share with coaches are stored securely and accessible only to you and the coach you shared them with. • Intellectual property: CaliForma's models, algorithms, and software are our intellectual property.

Account Termination

CaliForma reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that: • Violate these terms of service • Engage in abusive behavior toward other users or coaches • Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the app • Use the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. You may request data export before account closure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: • CaliForma is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. • CaliForma shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. • CaliForma is not responsible for injuries sustained during exercise, regardless of whether our form analysis was used. This limitation applies to all claims, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Finnish or EU law — those rights remain in force even where these terms appear stricter.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved by the competent Finnish courts, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules give you the right to bring the dispute in your country of residence. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves or to reflect legal changes. When we make material changes we will: • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. • Notify signed-in users by email or in-app notice when the change is significant. • For paid coach subscriptions, give at least 30 days' notice before changes affect your billing or features. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you don't agree, you may close your account before the change takes effect.
